Is it true it goes 65+ mph and 0-6 in 4.2 seconds?? (I'm talking about the stock version).

I wish I could buy this one, i think its MODEL 5509 that comes with everything you need (RTR) version....

any Jato owners out there?!

Hello fellow nitro nuts. My name is Tim Stevens. I live in Southern IN. R\c madness runs in my veins. My father has been in the hobby for 25 years and is a great go to man for any question r\c related. Now to the reason for this post.

Is the jato 3.3 all she is cracked up to be. Yes Sir, the truck doesn't make since. The power band on this truck is unlimited. 4.6 secs is pushing it, but only cause of the skill level of the driver. This Beast is quite the squirrel looking for a nut!!! I was in the parking lot of my local stadium, when up rolled Johny law. After a few mins of Q & A. I got him to radar the truck. 59 MPH is the most i could get out of her. I didn't have any tools with me, but I'm sure i could of tuned her in for the 65 MPH traxxas is talking about. Long story short. There is only a few Road purpose cars that will beat it, Stadium trucks of it's size it cant touch it. You bashers with those MT might run over it,lol, when it runs out of fuel. Wicked Fast, WICKED FAST

L8R, Tim

Off topic, but here is my plan:

I enherited a burnt out TRX 2.5 from a friend. (He traded it to me for some work I did on his F-150) I am trading it in at the LHS for a TRX 3.3. Then I'll put the 3.3 in my Jato, move the 2.5 out of the Jato and into my HPI Nitro Rush.

I'll let you know how it goes, if I actually ever do it.

I would have to say I like it… I have a 2.5 Jato. When it was New I was drag racing my buds 3.3 Revo, he got me at the start so I push it hard blew his doors off mid race but I had too much speed for the shut down point. I hit a speed bump going about 50s mph instead of hitting the gas an bring the nose up I was on the brakes!!! dumb me. The Jato jump the speed bump with its front bumper hitting first, with that it flipped about 75 yards end over end right towards my Bosses New Truck gaining air on every flip!!! Well it set down 3' from the side of his truck, My boss walked over to the Jato an it still running, kicked it over back on to all fours. I tore off before he did something to it, because he didn't look happy with me lol. With all that I Won the race made hella of a show and had a lot of people wanting a Jato… It just cost me a front bumper and some scratches on the body… 3.3 Jato= Rocket Truck next on my list…

Got the turnbuckles and got and good tune, and thought I would make it official.....I'm in love!! This car is insane fast, impossible to keep the wheeles on the ground if you punch it. Now I need some off-road tires and I'll be set to terrorize my neiborhood!

im looking into buying a Jato 3.3 within the next week or so and i just had some questions for you guys. everyone talks about their performance on the road but how about off roading? ill be jumping it in my backyard on all different size kickers and rough terrain? is this a good truck for that sort of driving conditions? i will probably rarely use it on the road. thanks for any pointers or suggestions and help.

the jato is really made to go fast, i guess it wouldnt hurt jumping it but not too high, just ger a revo if u want to jump. jatos are kinda made for speed and smooth tracks, yes they will take jumps but idk...

honestly me i wouldnt buy a jato for bashing just a bit on the expensive side for that but if you want to go off roading and jumping buy a t-maxx or revo. between them two if u want something that looks pretty and goes fast buy a revo but if u just want something thats badass and will go threw almost everything buy a t-maxx (got mine for sale) wink wink
