as long as you have it meshed right, it's hard to strip one. it's best to have a hardened clutch bell also because stock is too soft and will wear out very fast. i've had a steel combo on my savage for a year so far, and no problems yet!

ya u have to have an extremely powerful motor in order to strip one becuz if it comes loose during running it will most likely jam and u wont go ne where expecially with traxxas motors u aint gonna strip a steel spur

mine is rrp also, you might notice a slight drag from extra weight, but it's worth it for the longetivity you get out of it. what are you going to put it on? t-maxx, savage?

you shouldn't notice too much of a drag then, my 2.5 tmaxx has one, and it doesn't hardly drag at all.
